Hematite is a metallic-looking gemstone. It comes typically in the colours of grey, black, red and reddish-brown. Hematite was also known as Bloodstone.

What are the healing properties of Hematite? It is said to be associated with the base chakra. It helps in enhancing the connection to the earth. Hematite has been said to have a calming effect and may help to reduce insomnia.
