This pretty mineral is also known as Cordierite. It is a magnesium iron aluminium cyclosilicate.  Iolite is found in countries such as Burma, India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and Australia’s Northern Territory.

As for its healing properties, it is a good stone for intuition and psychic enhancement. Iolite is said to be able to be used for detoxification purposes. This stone is associated to the Brow Chakra.
